Neu von tildeslash ist M/Monit, welches den Anspruch erhebt zu einem „enterprise-class tool“ heranzuwachsen. Im Gegensatz zu monit ist es nicht OpenSource. Es liegt zur Zeit als freie Beta (Version 5) in Java vor.

tildeslash möchte in Zukunft etwas Butter auf‘s Brot bekommen, sagt aber „The license will be quite cheap and source will be available. We’ll use the money from M/Monit for further development and support of both M/Monit and Monit“… „The cost is only a fraction compared to similar commercial systems and unlike comparable open-source offerings, M/Monit does not depend on a patchwork of third-party components and hours of configuration, frustration and expensive support.sessions Compact, scalable, fast and modular.“

Mit M/Monit können mehrere Monit-Instanzen über eine zentrale Oberfläche verwaltet und Status Informationen ausgewertet werden, Monit fungiert gegenüber M/Monit als Agent. Für die Zukunft ist geplant Konfiguration und Alert Funktionen über M/Monit zentralisierbar zu machen. Auch sollen Aktionen über Monit-Instanzen hinweg ausgelöst werden können (wenn Datenbank auf Server A nicht läuft, löse Aktion auf Webserver, Server B, aus).
